September is upon us!

Well September is finally here (as the weather suggests) and the final countdown to High heel-a-thon 2009 has started.  The lead up to the month has been wonderful as we have seen so many people from the great county of Yorkshire show their support for this fantastic event.

A recent example of this was when Glitzy n Glamorous, an online shoe shop were kind enough to donate six pairs of men’s size heels!  Well now there are no excuses for men not to don their heels as we have plenty spare in our supply cupborad.  We wasted no time in putting them to use and within days I found myself at Odsal Stadium, home of the Bradford Bulls, dressing six of the players in High heel-a-thon t-shirts, pink feather bowers and heels before taking a great picture that proved even the burliest of men can pull off the high heel.  (Well I pulled it off didn’t I?!)  The Bradford Telegraph & Argus liked it so much they even printed it twice in the same week!

Now that we have reached September I urge people who are sat on their entry forms to get them filled out and sent in to Breast Cancer Haven.  This gives you plenty of time to find the right pair of heels, customise your t-shirt and convince your friends and family to take part too.  If you are in need of an entry form then simply click on the ‘Register’ tab on the High heel-a-thon home page and then click on ‘Download entry form’.  Then you print out as many as you like and pass them round!
